Student of Technological University of the Philippines, Edzel Pares.
by Karlos Hebron
Edzel Pares - student of Technological University of the Philippines, together with his school organization, TUP Green Society, aims to open the eyes of their schoolmates and fellow youth about the environment's limitations, and the need to act as stewards of the planet for future generations.
Residing at the Green Lung of Metro Manila, Quezon City, Edzel had been exposed to the sensitivity of beauty of trees and the melodic songs birds. Wanting to become active in Environmental Activities, he enlists to Haribon, on June 21, to experience the feel of natural/protected areas, embracing the joyous sceneries without man's intervention, and observing the fascinating wildlife that thrives within.
Interested in tree planting and oceanic activities, Edzel advocates "Environmental Equality, wherein the progress of the Nation through Technological and Rural expansion will not put the health of the environment at risk, but rather enrich it for future generation."
With means of sharing his acquired knowledge on how important and beautiful the environment truly is with his fellow students and youth, Edzel and his organization, with the guidance of Haribon, strives to live in a world with progressive technology and progressive life.
