We are looking for dedicated professionals who have the passion for environment conservation to occupy the following positions:

Media and Communications Specialist (Multimedia Designer)

FULL-TIME

Main Responsibilities

  1. 1. Conceptualize and lead production of the foundation’s visual communication requirements. Outputs include but not limited to:
    • • Annual reports and newsletters
    • • Educational publications, infographics, training and instructional materials
    • • PowerPoint decks for external partner pitches
    • • AVPs, GIFs, Reels, slideshows, or short videos
    • • Key visuals and templates for online (social media and website) assets
    • • Posters, brochures, exhibit signage, and other marketing paraphernalia
  2. 2. Ensure quality, on-time completion, and proper archiving of all creative outputs.
  3. 3. Work closely with the Media and Communications Officer in developing strategies and in assessing the performance of the visibility efforts and materials.
  4. 4. Research and implement media and design trends.
  5. 5. Propose creative solutions to improve campaign results as well as the workflow across all teams.
  6. 6. Assist in website maintenance and other communications tasks.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • • At least 1 year experience in graphic design or communications work, preferably in an agency or a non-profit setting
  • • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premiere or After Effects)
  • • Solid knowledge of digital platforms, features, trends, and best practices
  • • Has at least a basic understanding of WordPress, Wix, and other website builders
  • • Resourceful and capable of working with limited supervision and resources
  • • Must already have the necessary equipment, software, and a fast and stable internet connection
  • • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a good problem solver
  • • Values transparency, timeliness, and long-term partnerships
  • • A background in science communication is an advantage

Media and Communications Specialist (Content Writer)

FULL-TIME

Main Responsibilities

  1. 1. Write clear, accurate, and engaging copy to communicate the foundation’s messages to its target audiences. Outputs include original content for print and digital such as but not limited to:
    • • Annual reports and case studies
    • • SEO-optimized newsletters, blogs, and other web articles
    • • Educational publications or training and instructional materials
    • • Pitch decks, media kits, and press release items
    • • Video, voice over, and radio scripts
    • • Captions and key visual copies for social media
  2. 2. Fact-check all information and sources before dissemination.
  3. 3. Proofread, review, and edit grammar, punctuation, and tone of all written materials.
  4. 4. Rewrite or translate write ups when necessary.
  5. 5. Ensure quality, on-time completion, and proper archiving of all outputs.
  6. 6. Work closely with the Media and Communications Officer in developing strategies and in assessing the performance of the visibility efforts and materials.
  7. 7. Propose creative concepts and relevant content as well as ideas to improve workflow across all teams.
  8. 8. Handle regular website updates and other communication tasks.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • • At least 2 years experience in technical or copywriting, preferably in a PR/news agency or a non-profit setting
  • • Fluent in both English and Tagalog
  • • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • • Excellent command of grammar
  • • Solid knowledge of SEO, content writing, and media platforms and trends
  • • Has at least a basic understanding of WordPress, Wix, and other website builders
  • • Resourceful and capable of working with limited supervision and resources
  • • Must already have the necessary equipment, software, and a fast and stable internet connection
  • • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a good problem solver

Conservation Specialist/Biologist

Species of Hope: Kalaw (SOK) 

FULL-TIME

Main Responsibilities

  • • Handle conservation research activities specifically on biological assessments (general or taxa specific), monitoring, and management prescriptions of habitats and biodiversity  
  • • Analyze gathered data and write research and survey reports 
  • • Conceptualize research frameworks and conservation networks 
  • • Conduct data gathering in field sites 
  • • Lead in local and indigenous communities, local governments and national government agencies 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • • Graduate of Environmental Science, Biology, Zoology, or Wildlife Biology 
  • • At least 3 years’ experience in species and habitat conservation programs or projects  
  • • Must have strong planning, organizing and networking skills 
  • • Advanced decision-making and problem solving skills 
  • • Regularly conducts desktop and library research on ecological concepts 
  • • Expert in data gathering, analysis, technical writing and presentation 
  • • Able to work remotely with teams from varied backgrounds
  • • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills 
  • • Knowledge of data analysis tools including R Statistics is an advantage 
  • • Can speak and understand Hiligaynon, Tagalog and English 
  • • Willing to be assigned in Negros Occidental 

Conservation Specialist

Species of Hope: Negros Bleeding-Heart Pigeon (SON) 

PROJECT-BASED

Main Responsibilities

  • • Represent the Haribon Foundation in project related meetings, workshops and conference with various stakeholders and partnership. 
  • • Coordinate with local government officials and offices in developing, reviewing or updating policies or local development plans related to biodiversity conservation 
  • • Mobilize support from networks to achieve institutional goals and project outputs 
  • • Prepares, reviews, and/or approves project proposals, collaterals, letters, presentations, work plans, and activity reports for the direct superior, funders, and the project management team 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • • Graduate of Environmental Science, Biology , Zoology, aor Wildlife Biology 
  • • At least 3-5 years of experience in organizing communities in species and habitat conservation programs or projects 
  • • Must have strong planning, organizing and networking skills 
  • • Advanced decision-making and problem solving skills 
  • • Expert in technical writing and presentation 
  • • Able to work remotely with teams from varied backgrounds
  • • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills
  • • Experience in successful implementation of conservation incentives (e.g livelihood projects) is an advantage
  • • Can speak and understand Hiligaynon, Tagalog, and English 
  • • Willing to be assigned in Negros Occidental
