#PresentsForTheFuture: A gift for the next generation

December 2, 2020

2020 is a year never to be forgotten. The entire world has come to a halt with the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts are still felt nationwide.

Lockdowns have interrupted conventional schooling and children in rural communities are among those greatly affected.

This holiday season, Haribon wants to give those who have lost a clear view of the future the perspective they need to be filled with the hope of tomorrow.

By giving #PresentsForTheFuture, you donate to promise forests, with each gift not just funneling into the livelihoods of the hardworking farmers of Sierra Madre communities, but also the future of their children.

Each tree is a promise of a better tomorrow, for you, for us, and for them.

Every donation helps plant a tree and gives an educational kit that supports the distance learning of the children of our partner farmer communities. The kit includes school supplies, a book about the environment, Alpabeto ng Kalikasan – an alphabet book for all ages that features Proudly Pinoy plants and animals written by a Haribon Member – and sim and load cards to support online learning.

Donation starts in as low as Php 100. But when you give, we give too! For each single-donation of Php 500 or more, you get a FREE personalized holiday e-card either to yourself or on behalf of a loved one. It’s a gift you give together for generations to come!

Get a special e-card of your choice for every minimum P500 donation

E-cards are a great, sustainable way to show friends and family that you care. And that you care for the environment too!

  • Php 500 = 1 e-card, plus educational pack for children of community members.
  • Php 1000 = 3 e-cards (2 e-cards + 1 free, plus educational pack for children of community members)
  • Php 3,000 = 10 e-cards (6 e-cards + 4 free, plus educational pack for children of community members)

Simply add the hashtag #PresentsForTheFuture in your proof of donation email below, and that you will avail of the above offer(s).

Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ

  • Q: Can I print the e-cards?
A: Yes. But please use recycled paper to help conserve our resources. Although the e-card is only 72 dpi and is not the optimal resolution for printing (300 dpi +), it is still fairly legible when printed.
  • Q: I’d like to adopt one (1) tree under more than one name, is this possible?
A: Only a maximum of two persons are allotted per e-card. Simply provide the names per adopted seedling(s). Many donors adopt trees in the names of their parents, couples, or for an organization or company.
  • Q: Can I use a custom message?
A: Due to the popularity of our e-card campaign and time constraints, we no longer provide custom messages because the e-cards are created manually. However, if you or anyone you know is a programer who can donate time to create a web-based “e-card maker”, please email haringibon@haribon.org.ph.
  • Q: What file format is the e-card?
A: It is a 72 dpi jpeg file.
  • Q: What is considered a working day?
A: A non-holiday, Monday through Friday. We are unable to process e-cards on weekends or holidays.
