About the Forests for Life Movement

The Forests for Life Movement is a nationwide forest restoration initiative led by Haribon Foundation and local partner communities. It focuses on planting native tree species – the same kinds that once formed the country’s rich lowland and upland forests. These species provide food and shelter for wildlife and strengthen the resilience of ecosystems against climate change.

Over the years, the movement has:

• Restored 700+ hectares of degraded forest lands.
• Partnered with People’s Organizations (POs) who are trained to grow, plant, and care for seedlings.
• Contributed to the protection of vital watersheds that supply clean water to millions of Filipinos.

What your donation makes possible

Your ₱488 donation covers the cultivation, planting, and care of one seedling for its crucial first three years of growth. During this period, partner POs maintain the sites – removing weeds, replacing lost seedlings, and ensuring the young trees survive and thrive.
