Communications & Advocacy

Conservation succeeds when people understand, care, and act together.

Haribon’s Communications and Advocacy work ensures that environmental concerns are not confined to forests and coastlines but are heard in communities, classrooms, and board meetings.

Through storytelling, education, and partnerships, Haribon builds the public awareness and collective action needed to safeguard biodiversity.

Advocacy helps translate science into policy and citizen action. By empowering local voices – especially those of women, youth, and Indigenous peoples – Haribon promotes a culture where sustainability becomes a shared responsibility.

Examples of communications and advocacy initiatives include:

  • WEPhili communication workshops in Real, Quezon, which equipped women leaders to develop and deliver their own conservation messages.
  • Position papers and statements on environmental policies and natural hazards, helping influence decision-makers toward sustainable practices.
  • Public campaigns, press releases, and social media initiatives that promote environmental awareness and responsible citizenship.

Support our advocacy efforts by sharing our stories, joining campaigns, or volunteering your skills in writing, media, or communications. Every voice raised for nature makes a difference.
