Haribon Project Sites

The project sites on the Philippine map are just some of the locations we have worked in. We will be adding more sites and data over time. We have worked for over 50 years in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Learn more about our work through our 4 pillars below.

Conserving Sites and Habitats

We work across critical ecosystems, habitats, and landscapes across the country. Our flagship programs such as the Forests for Life Movement, among other forest reforestation and marine conservation projects, have helped establish effective conservation actions that apply science-informed and community-led strategies to conserve sites and habitats.

Saving Species

The Philippines is home to many endemic wildlife species that hold a unique place and function in the country’s web of life. We work with government organizations and institutions, academic experts, and citizen scientists to conduct studies on important flora and fauna species including the Philippine Eagle, the Negros Bleeding-heart Pigeon, native tree species and more, to inform how they can best be conserved and protected.

Empowering People

We believe that environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility, where empowering active and meaningful governance is fundamental to environmental action.

Encouraging Sustainability

With looming impacts of a planetary crisis, environmental action requires the active participation of everyone. We foster inclusive multisectoral collaboration to raise awareness on species and habitat loss, plastic pollution, and the impacts of climate change. From tree planting activities, coastal clean-ups, and learning sessions, Haribon aims to inspire concerted action towards environmental sustainability.
