Mt. Susong Dalaga has been recorded as a site where Philippine eagles and other raptors have been sighted. Raptor species under the order Falconiformes in the Philippines are usually studied with other bird species in general ecological surveys.

Reports of raptor activity in Mt. Susong Dalaga have presented an opportunity for research on Philippine diurnal raptor species. Its location, approximately 9 km from Aurora Memorial National Park and near agricultural communities, gives the results significance to broader conservation issues.
